OLD CHAMBER CAMPING

Old Chamber Camping is the only camping in the Calder Valley which is in easy walking distance to Hebden Bridge town centre and close to the Pennine Way. 15 minute walk down through the fields and wood but longer to come back up.

We are open weekends throughout the summer and situated on the quiet side of the valley. This campsite is an ideal base for mountain bikers, ramblers, long distance walkers, active families, and those who want to sit and drink in the view as well as those that want the best of both worlds with the convenience of all the town's facilities but with the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.

We do ask that you respect your fellow campers and our neighbours by turning music off, vacating the barn and reducing noise levels by 11 pm

The camping boasts hot showers, toilets, kettle, electric points, food prep sinks, fridge and freezer. It's a great indoor space for when the Yorkshire weather closes in. The coded door makes it a secure place to lock up your bikes.

It only takes around 15 minutes to walk down into town but the walking back will take a little longer! However, taxis are readily available from town to the camping fields.

There are over 30 places for food and drink as well as the famous Trades Club, Hebden Bridge Picture House and the Little Theatre. Local Takeaways deliver to the the camping field.

Camping is on a working sheep farm which has been in the same family for over 50 years and is accessed by a single track road with passing places.

The views are stunning and at night the town looks like a Christmas card with the lights twinkling through the trees. For those wanting to venture further afield, the farm is crisscrossed with public footpaths and if you fancy it, there's a lovely circular walk to Stoodley Pike and back taking in the moors including Bell Hole where the famous Cragg Coiners once lived.
